There is something about jumping into a jumpsuit that is just sooo easy… no co-ordinating an outfit…just ON and GO… I ask myself whether it’s the boiler suit/workwear connotation or the no nonsense approach to dressing, that means you just get stuff done while wearing a jumpsuit? I have always loved reaching for a jumpsuit for precisely that reason, but perhaps never more so than during WFH Lockdown …I have been living in our Indigo Viscose Twill with the crepe de chine sleeves…often with a white T-shirt and sleeves rolled up purposefully and always with a sneaker… Incidentally, so does my dear friend Lisa Snowden… Lisa, its hard to believe that we met nearly 30 years ago when you walked in my first show… you look better than ever and your love of life and generosity of spirit shine brightly … you never take yourself too seriously and are a true inspiration to so many … thank you for #wearingwakeley so chicly
Thinking ahead to warmer days the crop options make a cooler alternative to a summer dress…and I am dreaming of it being warm enough to wear our take on glam dungarees … the satin tie waist Jumpsuit …in the meantime I have settled for wearing it with a fine guage cashmere roll-neck underneath
Should we finally get to be social again…yes, that has to be soon surely? …then I will celebrate in style and be jumping into our statement sleeve, bateau neck, flared leg jumpsuit…this is an LBD and a tux suit in one… and yes, the heels will be on… and yes, this is one that I am planning to keep in my wardrobe for a long time…
I hope you are enjoying the sunshine wherever you are… and staying safe and well.
